    Posted: 31/May/2008 at 7:57am
HI, all,

I have an Asus P4V8X-MX MOBO.  Integrated graphics is beginning to go haywire. Reading about the MOBO, I discovered most users disabled the integrated graphics and installed a video card.  Anyone know what is compatible with this ASUS MOBO?

Thanks for any help!

For that particular board, you're going to need an AGP (8x) or a standard PCI video card, not to be confused with PCI Express. If you visit our video card section, you can select "AGP" or "PCI" on the advanced search by features at the bottom to get a list. We have quite a few to choose from, depending on your budget and needs.

as long as the card you buy has the correct inface

wether it be a AGP interface or a PCI interface you should have no problems with compatibility. I would recommend going with a AGP video card. What you can do is go to our site choose video cards under categories and then choose video cards again. then you scroll down to advanced search by features. then for interface choose AGP, do not choose any for any of the other tables, then you will get all the AGP video cards. choose one that is in your price range and you should have no problem

Thank you ever so much.

I did sort the video cards in that manner.  And have ordered one.  I had to order a bigger Power supply as well. The particular computer experiencing the graphics problem was rebuilt by someone else. And they used a 250 watt power supply. I had no idea.  But it explains some of the other issues I am seeing.  So I just ordered an Enermax. Big enough to handle the load.

Thanks again!
