Before upgrading to Windows 7, I want to see if I should update any/all of my hardware.
My current setup is as follows: OS Name: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium (64-Bit) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, 2600 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) Memory: PATRIOT 2GB KIT PDC22G6400LLK Storage: (2) SEAGATE Barracuda ST3250410AS 250gb I’m using the O/B graphics for my monitor (HDMI) which is an ASUS 23.6" VH242H but I made want to add a video card (or this may not be necessary?) The most demanding processes I perform on my PC are playing video games such as Call of Duty 4 and watching movies. My main concern is updating for Windows 7 before installing (if needed). Does anyone have any suggestions? Edited by Zippo152 - 19/Oct/2009 at 1:42pm |

You should upgrade to 4GB DDR3 ram and go for a Quad Core processer.

the extra ram might help, but don't think it is totally necessary
